League leaders FC AshantiGold draw at home against Rospak, Nsuopon Fidelity beat Elmina Sharks away

Zone Two leaders FC AshantiGold '04 were held to a 0-0 draw by Sekondi Rospak SC on Sunday at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi, marking only the second time this season they have failed to score. The entertaining stalemate saw both sides create several chances, but poor finishing meant the points were shared. The result extends FC AshantiGold's unbeaten home run to six matches (W4, D2), leaving them with 24 points from 11 games.

Newly promoted Nsuopun Fidelity claimed an impressive 1-0 away victory over former Premier League side Elmina Sharks on Sunday at the Nduom Sports Complex, keeping up the pressure on league leaders FC AshantiGold '04. Samuel Kofi Osei struck the decisive goal in the 41st minute to secure all three points for the visitors and was deservedly named Player of the Match. The win moves Nsuopun Fidelity to within two points of the summit.

Former Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs climbed to third place on the Zone Two table after a hard-fought 1-0 away win over struggling Police Nationals at the Tuba Astroturf. Godfred Eshun scored the decisive goal in the 27th minute to hand his team all three points, taking Ebusua Dwarfs to 20 points from 11 matches.

The results mean FC AshantiGold remain at the top of the Zone Two standings with 24 points, closely followed by Nsuopun Fidelity with 23 points. The title race is heating up as both teams continue to demonstrate their credentials for promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
