From Obuasi to the
Ghana Premier League
FC ASHANTIGOLD is a professional football club based in Obuasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana. After a dominant 2025/26 campaign — winning the Division One League Zone Two title with three games to spare — we have officially secured promotion to the 2026-27 Ghana Premier League. Joining fellow newly promoted sides Port City and Debibi United, FC AshantiGold are set to compete in Ghana's top flight for the very first time.

Our Mission
Our mission is clear: compete with distinction in the Ghana Premier League while staying true to the values that powered our promotion. Build a squad capable of challenging for honours at the highest level. Develop homegrown talent through a robust youth system. Maintain the discipline, transparency, and clean play that earned us the Zone Two title — and give the people of Obuasi a club they can always be proud of.
Our Vision
With promotion secured, the vision extends beyond survival in the top flight. FC AshantiGold aim to establish themselves as a competitive force in the Ghana Premier League, build towards continental qualification, and develop a sustainable model that takes the club to the summit of Ghanaian football. The 2026/27 GPL season — starting September 18 — marks the beginning of that journey.
Achievements
In their debut season in the Division One League, FC AshantiGold dominated Zone Two from start to finish — winning the championship with an emphatic 61 points from 29 matches, 13 clear of the chasing pack.
Key figures Raphael Ankamah, Gerard Owusu, and David Gyamfi led a campaign that secured promotion to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League with three games to spare, highlighted by a stunning 4-1 demolition of Skyy FC on Matchday 27. The club now prepares for its first ever season in the top flight.
