FC Ashantigold 04 were beaten 1-0 by Aduana FC at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in their Matchday 7 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
The hosts, bouncing back from a previous defeat, found the decisive goal in the 40th minute when Abubakar Adams reacted quickest to a rebound from Seidu Saana's free-kick to beat the Ashantigold goalkeeper.
The Miners' hopes of finding an equaliser suffered a further blow when Akwasi Afari was shown a red card, leaving the side a man short as the Fire Boys saw out the contest to secure all three points. Despite the setback, Ashantigold remain firmly in the mix in the early-season table.
