Access Bank Division One League: Qualification race intensifies with 8 games to go

With just eight games left in the season, the battle of qualification is intensifying in Zone Two of the Access Bank Division One League. FC AshantiGold '04 sit comfortably at the top of the table and are the favorites to secure promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

The Miners have been the most consistent team in Zone Two throughout the season, accumulating an impressive points tally under the guidance of head coach Abdul Karim Zito. However, the remaining fixtures present challenges — AshantiGold have more away games than home games remaining and will need to maintain their strong road form.

Ebusua Dwarfs sit in second place and remain the most likely challengers. They are well-positioned with five home fixtures and three away matches remaining. Nsuopun Fidelity FC, despite suffering recent setbacks including a third consecutive defeat, remain in the mix with an evenly split schedule of four home and four away games.

The competition remains tight below the top spot, with several teams still mathematically in contention for promotion. The final eight matchdays promise to deliver exciting football as teams battle for their top-flight dreams.
