Gerrard Owusu Lele is one of FC AshantiGold's brightest young prospects and, at just 18, has earned a call-up to the Ghana Black Stars U-20 national team — a proud reward for a breakthrough campaign. A composed, energetic midfielder, Gerrard featured 22 times during the 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League season, clocking 1,836 minutes and chipping in with 2 goals as FC AshantiGold stormed to the Zone Two title and promotion to the Ghana Premier League. His maturity, work-rate and reading of the game beyond his years caught the eye of the national youth selectors. Disciplined yet combative, Gerrard picked up just 4 yellow cards and no red cards across the season.
