Augustine Sosu, affectionately known as "White Pele", is one of FC AshantiGold's brightest young talents and has earned a call-up to the Ghana Black Stars U-20 national team at just 19 years of age. A tireless, technically gifted midfielder, Sosu featured 14 times during the 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League campaign, racking up 1,016 minutes as the club stormed to the Zone Two title and promotion to the Ghana Premier League. His energy, ball-winning and composure in the middle of the park caught the eye of the national youth selectors. Picking up just 3 yellow cards and no red cards across the season, Sosu combines aggression with discipline. His call-up to the Black Stars U-20 set-up is a proud moment for the club and a powerful statement of the quality coming through FC AshantiGold's ranks.
