The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the fixtures for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League, setting the stage for another thrilling campaign packed with blockbuster clashes, fierce regional derbies and an eagerly anticipated title race — and FC AshantiGold 04 now know exactly how their historic debut top-flight season will unfold.
The Miners will begin life in the Ghana Premier League with an away trip to fellow debutants Port City FC on the opening weekend, in what promises to be an entertaining first-ever Premier League meeting between the two newly promoted sides.
The highlight of the first round is the eagerly awaited Ashanti Derby, with FC AshantiGold set to host Asante Kotoko SC at the Len Clay Stadium on Matchday 8. The reverse fixture is scheduled for Matchday 25 in the second round of the season.
The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season will officially get underway over the weekend of September 4–7, 2026, with matches taking place across all nine league centres. The campaign will run until the weekend of May 28–31, 2027, comprising 34 match weekends with no official midweek fixtures — a scheduling policy introduced by the GFA to reduce travel demands on clubs and enhance player welfare.
With the fixtures now confirmed, anticipation is building at the Len Clay Stadium as Coach Abdul Karim Zito and his squad begin their final preparations for what promises to be a memorable first Premier League season.
